‘Tough Talk on Cybersecurity’ Focusses on Best Ways to Protect MSPs and Customers in Ever-Changing Environment

Oct 11, 2022

Weekly YouTube show will deliver actionable advice and best practices for service providers

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. –   CompTIA, the leading trade association for the global technology industry and workforce, has launched a new YouTube series that delivers a collection of useful tips and best practices for managed service providers and the professionals leading these vital organizations.

“Tough Talk on Cybersecurity” will be hosted by Wayne R. Selk, Vice President, Cybersecurity Programs at CompTIA and Executive Director of CompTIA’s Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (ISAO). New episodes of the eight-part series will publish each Wednesday on the CompTIA Connect YouTube channel.

The timely topics covered during the series come from a white paper titled “Fundamental Cybersecurity for Managed Service Providers.” The white paper, which was produced by members of the CompTIA ISAO, covers fundamental aspects of cybersecurity that a managed technology solutions business serving small-to-medium businesses needs to understand and implement.

“Our goal is to help anyone who is looking for guidance with these often complex and always critical issues,” said Selk, who has worked in the cybersecurity industry for decades. “Each week we’ll have a frank conversation on the current state of MSP cybersecurity, take a closer look at one facet of an MSP’s cybersecurity portfolio, and discuss how to adopt best practices to better protect customers.”
