The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the leading trade association for the global information technology (IT) industry, issued the following statement from Cinnamon Rogers, executive vice president of advocacy, regarding the investigation launched today with respect to Digital Services Taxes (DSTs) by the Trump Administration:
"CompTIA supports the Administration’s efforts to find a balanced approach to digital taxation across the globe. DSTs are particularly harmful during this moment in time given they handicap foreign direct investment and free trade, both of which are important for a global economic recovery. CompTIA supports the United States’ continued leadership in the OECD as they work to reach a multilateral solution for addressing international tax rules for digital companies."
