Innovating for a sustainable future: CompTIA helps strategic partners in the Netherlands redefine the role of tech education

Apr 11, 2024

Forum focuses on strategic skills development in cyber security, AI, data and other technology disciplines

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands CompTIA, the world’s leading information technology (IT) certification and training body, will meet next week with its strategic partners across the Netherlands to strategize on new education and training efforts to expand and strengthen the Dutch technology workforce.

The first of its kind form hosted by CompTIA in the Netherlands will bring together representatives from more than a dozen training organizations for discussions on redefining the role of education in the tech industry.

“Conventional approaches to training that produce cookie cutter digital citizens is woefully inadequate,” said Dr. James Stanger, chief technology evangelist for CompTIA. “Instead, we need to create uniquely skilled workers who are ready to handle the most in-demand technology jobs.”

Dr. Stanger will speak on “Undocumented Cyber Security Skills,” sharing insights into the evolving landscape of cyber security skills, including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and the pivotal role of data analytics.

“These strategic skills include new cybersecurity paradigms, such as moving from the defender's dilemma to the attacker's dilemma; the real use of automation today; and what it means to really interact with AI,” he explained.

“With its strategic location and a robust infrastructure, the Netherlands is well positioned as a central hub for technological innovation and digital transformation in Europe,” said Luke Barton, senior account executive, CompTIA. “We see great opportunities to work with our strategic partners to further enhance digital literacy, professional development and the cultivation of the next generation of IT professionals in the Netherlands.”

The forum also features a session to help partners unlock the full potential of their marketing strategies by highlighting the “The Power of Personas.” The session will be led by Sophie Stocking, CompTIA’s marketing director for EMEA.

“Understanding what truly makes customers tick is the key to developing a robust go to market strategy,” Stocking said. “Working with partners to share research, dig into who their customers are and what drives them makes for a stronger partnership and helps partners to plan programmes over an extended period of time.”
