Finalists announced for 2024 CompTIA Community UK & Ireland Spotlight Awards

Annual awards recognize excellence and leadership in technology industry

BIRMINGHAM, England – Finalists for the 2024 CompTIA Community UK & Ireland Spotlight Awards, which honor individuals and businesses for their commitment, dedication and leadership in advancing the technology industry, have been revealed by CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the tech industry and its workforce.

Award winners in nine categories will be announced and recognised at the upcoming CompTIA Community UK & Ireland Regional Group Meeting and Spotlight Awards in Birmingham. Winners will be celebrated at an awards reception and dinner on 26 June at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel.

“It is truly an honour to name the finalists for the CompTIA Community UK and Ireland Spotlight Awards,” said MJ Shoer, chief community officer, CompTIA. “Because this is the region where the Spotlight Awards began, it feels extra special each year when we open these nominations. The awards are judged purely on the merit of each application. We enlist a prestigious panel of judges from outside the awarding region to ensure the highest integrity and objectivity when choosing the winners.”

The CompTIA Community UK & Ireland Future Leader Spotlight Award is earned by an individual from a CompTIA Community member company who has demonstrated success or originality as an entrepreneur or industry professional in a start-up, emerging technology or technology solution-focused organisation. The finalists are:

Jack Cooke, channel development manager, Kaseya
Claire Jenks, director, Jenks Creative
Adam Pevie, technical support manager, Bondgate IT
Alex Winter, EMEA partner sales director, ConnectWise

The CompTIA Community UK & Ireland Advancing Women in Technology Leadership Spotlight Award is presented to a technology professional who is an active leader in the industry as well as in their personal network and community, serving as an advocate for women in tech and a role model for others. The finalists are:

The CompTIA UK & Ireland Community Leadership Spotlight Award recognizes a CompTIA Community member who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership, passion and professionalism in their support for CompTIA Community objectives and initiatives. Nominees embody the spirit and dedication required for CompTIA to successfully advance the IT Industry as a member-led association. The finalists are:

The CompTIA Community UK & Ireland Cybersecurity Leadership Spotlight Award recognizes a single CompTIA Community member who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership, passion and professionalism in their support for CompTIA Community Cybersecurity Programs by engaging other members in both discussion and by providing thought leadership around cybersecurity in any of the active cybersecurity program activities. The finalists are:

The company is a changemaker, transforming lives and/or organisations through a sustained commitment to DEI values. The finalists are:

A judging panel evaluated nominees for their positive impact on the tech industry; contributions that support CompTIA’s mission to advance the tech industry; and actions and initiatives that demonstrated leadership in their respective award category. Members of the CompTIA Community’s North America, Benelux, ANZ, ASEAN, and DACH regional executive councils, as well as members of CompTIA Community's Workforce, Channel Development and IoT advisory councils served as judges.
