CompTIA is taking an uncommon approach to the Wednesday, July 31, lunch session at ChannelCon in Orlando, FL. It’s called the Unconference Lunch and is sure to be an unmatched event – featuring content driven by you!
This fun, cutting-edge education and networking opportunity allows exhibitors even more exposure to the ChannelCon solution provider audience. During lunch, CompTIA will provide open meeting spaces and let you guide the agenda – some might call it ungoverned!
What is an unconference?
Simply stated, an unconference is a participant-driven meeting. Content is provided by the participants themselves. Anyone who wants to initiative a discussion on a topic can claim a time and space. The term was born as people in the IT industry started creating conferences that stepped outside of traditional models. An unconference provides a dynamic space for peer-to-peer learning, collaboration and creativity.
How does it work?
Anyone who is interested in leading a session can sign up on-site by posting a card to the schedule board. The schedule board will be available when ChannelCon opens on Monday through Wednesday morning right before the Unconference Lunch begins. You can choose to attend any session you’d like. If the session isn’t meeting your expectations, feel free to gather your things and try out something else.
The set-up is intentionally informal. There won’t be any formal presentations, PowerPoints or panel discussions.
The Unconference Lunch will take place on Wednesday, July 31, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Check out this video for more information, then register for ChannelCon today and expect an unforgettable experience! Sign up by June 15th to take advantage of early bird discounts and promotions.
