MassChallenge, a global network of startup accelerators, announced last week its newest program in Texas. Through an Austin-based accelerator and statewide programming, MassChallenge Texas will accelerate up to 100 high impact, high potential companies, which will compete for up to $500,000 in equity-free cash awards.
In addition to the early-stage startups participating in the 2018 accelerator, MassChallenge expects to support hundreds more entrepreneurs through community-building activities, tailored programming, and ecosystem development across the state in the areas of healthcare, clean energy, hardware & manufacturing, biotech, consumer tech, and social impact programs. MassChallenge Texas, a non-profit entity, will also focus on fostering collaboration by connecting large corporations with the startup community. If your company is interested in participating as a mentor, please visit: http://texas.masschallenge.org/apply-be-expert.
MassChallenge Texas will also host a formal launch event to introduce the MassChallenge Texas community and program on October 16, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Bob Bullock Museum in Austin, Texas. Members of the community can RSVP for the event here. Please contact Sarah Matz at smatz@comptia.org if you would like to RSVP or if you have any questions.
