CompTIA partners widen their reach

UK-based skills development company, Learning People, has helped individuals find their footing in a new and rewarding career in tech and project management. Head of Curriculum, Mark Wheatland, says his organization's goals are bolstered through their supportive partnership with CompTIA. Wheatland explains that both companies have a common interest in closing the confidence gap and that CompTIA’s vendor-neutral tech certifications have helped his learners develop relevant, adaptable skills, often adding to their valuable soft skills.

“The value of a CompTIA certification can literally be a life-changing thing.” Wheatland shares. “People are getting jobs when they’ve done one or two certifications and moving away from their dead-end job to working somewhere where they do find it interesting, where they do have fun, where they are actually valued as an employee.”

Reach your organizational goals with the right resources and support

Gilbert Nyandeje, CEO of Africa Cyber Defense Forum, a continental platform that brings together organizations in the private and public sector, is on a mission to make tech education and skills development more accessible to his region.

His programs have ambitious goals of helping his learners succeed. Take for example his CyberGen program, which aims to train 100,000 cybersecurity professionals who can enter or advance in the job market over the next ten years. Along with providing learners access to quality cybersecurity education, his organization values cybersecurity training programs that promote accessible career advancement opportunities that would have otherwise been unavailable. Nyandeje explains, “Certifications are always a barrier to entry for those who are trying to get into the industry. CompTIA is an organization that is heavily doing a lot of work on competence building and building the skills. There was no better organization or a better partner we could have had.”

From the classroom to a career path

Peter Robinson knows a thing or two about growing in a defined career path. Robinson worked as an instructor with the Lexicon Group; he would go on to become the CEO of the company.

Lexicon Group is an organization that focuses its efforts on helping learners gain the technical skills to gain an entry-level tech role. Their training services have helped learners and tech professionals grow in their careers. His organization provides defined career pathways for professionals to explore. With the help of CompTIA, those pathways are easier to map out.

The streamlined training process and resources CompTIA brings to his organization are unmatched Robinson explains. “One of the best things about being a partner is the access we have to great learning content, great labs, and great certificates.” He adds, “Without great content, you can’t build a good training and that is what CompTIA gives us.”

Stay ahead of the changing tech landscape

CompTIA Partner Firebrand Training recognizes the need to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving tech landscape. Chief Operating Officer, Ben Hansford, turns to CompTIA training solutions to ensure learners have a relevant skill set to solve the tech challenges of tomorrow. Hansford’s organization operates in Germany, the Nordics, Benelux, and the UK, helping provide relevant information technology training to leading organizations including banks and government ministries of defense.

“Working with a trusted partner like CompTIA means that we can make sure that we’ve got the latest set of technologies and skills within our programs, and the range of products with CompTIA is ever expanding,” Hansford details. “CompTIA allows us to make sure that we’ve got the very latest up-to-date skills in our program. That allows training providers like Firebrands to be ahead of the game.”
