The latest CompTIA Small Business Owners (SBO) Community is ready to help. Rather than focusing on a specific vertical market or technology, this group concentrates on business improvement methods, educational programs, and the tools to build a successful organization. As a true “peer community,” SBO members are solution providers and experienced IT industry professionals who understand the value of sharing suggestions and ideas.

The group’s educational initiatives are paying off, yielding a number of resources, including assessment tools, webinars and workshops on solution provider-specific business fundamentals.

Frank Picarello, CBO chair and Chief Operating Officer for CMIT Solutions lead the group meeting at the Breakaway, with an agenda packed with “business growth” topics, including:

  • Selling IT services: a panel discussion with three experienced solution providers,

  • Growing your Business:  Picarello presented strategies to help organizations expand and thrive, including organic, existing base, acquisition, and retention approaches, and

  • Financial planning: this discussion covered the best methods of funding expansion, from company valuation and strategic partnering to other financing options.

In addition to the great discussion, the SBO Community members got a look at the Bsherman@techsuccesscommunications.com
