What is an IT support role?

IT support specialists do a range of tasks, from installing software to setting up computer workspaces, as well as solve technical issues that arise on a day-to-day basis. IT support specialists may also:

System Maintenance

Maintain system capability by testing computer components.

Training

How to get started

Ready to jump-start your career in tech in less than 5 months? See if you qualify for this no-cost training program.

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident of Ventura County, CA
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Be able to read and write in the English language
  • Be able to work legally in the United States

  • Complete a brief online assessment. You’ll receive an email with a link to a brief assessment to help us better understand what motivates you and your natural skills and abilities.
  • Take part in a video interview. As a next step, you’ll be invited to do a video interview over Zoom with a member of the program’s admissions team. This will be an opportunity for you to share why you’re interested in a tech career, learn more about the program, and ask questions.
