CompTIA is looking for data or IT professionals who have current experience working in the data science field to be involved in a Item Writing workshop for a Data Science certification exam.
The purpose of this Item Writing workshop is to create and review item content (questions) for CompTIA’s Data Science+ certification.
Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing industry relevant certifications. Potential SMEs must have at least 5 years of experience working in a data engineering or data scientist role, with experience in one or more of the following areas:
SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:
In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Item Writing workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.
*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.
Based on changing state and government guidelines/requirements, vaccination is currently not required for workshop participants.

Only professionals currently working in one of the above fields should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers/teachers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
